Pre-kindergarten Readiness

Are you looking to strengthen your child’s social skills? Do they need practice following a group?

This group provides a great opportunity for young children to practice interacting with their same-age peers in a fun, structured environment. Children will benefit from targeted learning with an emphasis on interactive and educational activities. Our small, supportive group format is a great way for children to gain confidence in a structured and fun group setting!

Ages: 3 – 5 years

After School Social Group

This interest-led group is designed to help your child strengthen their social skills and make meaningful connections with peers around their age. The group is facilitated by trained behavioural therapists and supervised by a board certified behaviour analyst (BCBA).

Focus areas include:

  • Sharing ideas with peers
  • Negotiating within play activities
  • Perspective taking
  • Emotional regulation
    *Each child will also have individualized goals that are tailored to their needs and abilities

Ages: 5-7 years old

Adventure Agent Group

Adventure Agent Group is the use of meaningful and purposeful recreation and leisure activities to improve one’s quality of life and provide support to those who have cognitive or physical limitations. This program will explore targeted recreation and leisure within our community and help educate our learners on how to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle, both physically and mentally.

We offer choice to the individual and work with them to complete fun and stress-free activities that they enjoy. We will also provide support to families in the form of locating resources in our community, as well as providing a clear plan to achieve their recreation goals.

Dates/Times: Fridays 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Sensory Seekers Social Group

This fun and interactive group will encourage your kiddos to notice and connect to their eight sensory systems. The relationship between their senses and environment will be explored while navigating our beautiful natural terrain. This group will take place weekly at various locations throughout the community, fostering your child's appreciation for nature's vast sensory playground. Children will be guided through organized activities and nature walks. Opportunities for free play will be incorporated to develop and strengthen social interactions in a small group context with the support of skilled, child-focused leaders. We can't wait to explore our sensory experiences in the great outdoors together.

Girls Empowerment Group

This group has been created to provide a safe space for youth to explore values and interests while further developing their sense of self. Teens will be guided through activities designed to promote self love, self awareness, and respect for one another. Interactive discussions will encourage dialogue to troubleshoot day-to-day challenges of adolescence, fostering social connection and compassion for peers.

Spark Spirit of Friendship

Pre-teen Girls Social Group

We are excited to introduce our newest group, Spark Spirit of Friendship, created to support pre-teen girls in learning about and feeling comfortable in their changing bodies while learning how to create meaningful friendships. This group will utilize fun and interactive activities such as role play, games, and crafts to increase social awareness and connection. Guided group discussion will facilitate learning about social thinking concepts including perspective taking, dealing with conflict, sharing the stage, and meeting new people while allowing space to discuss real life challenges. Programming will encourage healthy relationships with their own mind and body to build confidence from within.
