Preschool Readiness
Are you looking to strengthen your child’s social skills? Do they need practice following a group?
This group provides a great opportunity for young children to practice interacting with their same-age peers in a fun, structured environment. Children will benefit from targeted learning with an emphasis on interactive and educational activities. Our small, supportive group format is a great way for children to gain confidence in a structured and fun group setting!
Dates/Times: Tuesday & Thursday mornings, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Ages: 3 – 5 years
After School Social Group
This interest-led group is designed to help your child strengthen their social skills and make meaningful connections with peers around their age. The group is facilitated by trained behavioural therapists and supervised by a board certified behaviour analyst (BCBA).
Focus areas include:
- Sharing ideas with peers
- Negotiating within play activities
- Perspective taking
- Emotional regulation
*Each child will also have individualized goals that are tailored to their needs and abilities
Ages: 5-7 years old
Dates/Times: Mondays & Fridays, 2:30-5:00 p.m.
Girl Empowerment Group
This group has been created to provide a safe space for girls to join and come together to explore their values and interests while further developing their sense of self. Girls will be guided through activities designed to promote self love, self awareness, and respect for one another. Interactive discussions will encourage dialogue amongst the group that provides support while welcoming alternative perspectives as well as any and all questions or concerns of young girls in the community.
Dates/Times: Thursdays from 3:30-5pm

Social Group 1 - Ages 8-12

This group provides a great opportunity to practice interacting with same-age peers in a safe and judgement-free environment. Children and youth will benefit from targeted learning by using evidence-based curriculum. Fun is the foundation for this group with an emphasis on interactive and educational activities.
Dates/Times: Saturday afternoons, 1:00-3:00

Social Group 2 - Ages 12-16

Children and youth will benefit from targeted learning by using evidence-based curriculum. Fun is the foundation for this group with an emphasis on interactive and educational activities.

Sensory Seekers Social Group
Cooking & Life Skills Social Group
We will introduce functional life skills such as community navigation, healthy lifestyle, job readiness, and domestic household tasks to encourage greater independence. Youth will enjoy time allocated to having fun with their peers. Support will be provided to navigate the challenges that occur organically in social group environments.
Adventure Agent Group
Adventure Agent Group is the use of meaningful and purposeful recreation and leisure activities to improve one’s quality of life and provide support to those who have cognitive or physical limitations. This program will explore targeted recreation and leisure within our community and help educate our learners on how to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle, both physically and mentally.
We offer choice to the individual and work with them to complete fun and stress-free activities that they enjoy. We will also provide support to families in the form of locating resources in our community, as well as providing a clear plan to achieve their recreation goals.
Dates/Times: Fridays 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Interoception: (Body-Emotion-Action)
This group explores Interoception, the 8th sensory system. Using Kelly Mahler's evidence-based curriculum as a guide, learners will be led through experiments to increase body awareness. They will learn to associate emotions with their own unique collection of body sensations and later develop a tool box of feel-good actions, enabling them to shift how their body feels. This interactive group is ideal for learners 6+.

Sensory Seeker Social Group
Child with sensory needs?
This fun and interactive group find your little one exploring their sensory systems. From shaving cream sensory boxes to bubble mountains, we will explore your little one’s sensory preferences. This course will look at arousing and calming activities to help your child navigate their busy environments and provide strategies for home.
Age: 4-6 years old

Executive Function Group
Executive Function is a phrase that includes a group of skills that we need to plan & carry out goals, focus our attention, remember & follow instructions, control our emotions, self-monitor, and remember new information. Like any other skill, we can strengthen our Executive Function skills by practicing!
In our Executive Function group, students will complete short lessons and fun, hands-on activities that are designed to strengthen their Executive Function skills. This 12-week program is run by a board certified behaviour analyst (BCBA).

AIM Group
AIM is a Social-emotional curriculum designed for school-aged children who may struggle with social or emotional challenges, anxiety/worrying, or coping with difficult tasks or situations that may arise throughout the course of their day.
This curriculum combines Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and some principles derived from Applied Behaviour Analysis.
Our AIM group is run by a board certified behaviour analyst (BCBA). Sessions are scheduled every Tuesday afternoon from 4:00-5:00 p.m. throughout the school year. Parent training sessions (optional but recommended) are provided once every other month.

Cooking & Life Skills
Do you want to explore cooking, trying new foods and life skills?
This course aims to provide age-appropriate skills to help your child navigate through their daily lives. We will explore cooking and trying new foods while learning the foundations of meal planning, budgeting, and food preparation.
We will introduce functional life skills such as community navigation, healthy lifestyle, job readiness, and domestic household tasks to encourage greater independence.

Is your child a fussy eater? Are mealtimes stressful?
Our behaviour consultant has designed a specialized program that will gradually expose the child to new and exciting foods each week whilst teaching the importance of routine surrounding mealtimes.
